ThinkGen Ecosystem
is a Technology Incubator that directly leverages on the
Technology Infrastructure or the Marketing/Support Network of
ThinkGen. The initiative is focused on projects in the
Integrated space of Pharma, Biotech and Healthcare. ThinkGen
Ecosystem also focuses in incubating synergies among the
incubatees and even develop partnership with established leading
companies and research institutions in the space. The Ecosystem
is lead by Prof. Shivaram and has on its Board leading
entrepreneurs and professionals who mentor the initiatives
actively.
PROF. SHIVARAM MALAVALLI, CHAIRMAN,

Prof. Shivaram Malavalli
with 25 years of Industrial and Research experience, especially
developing Technocrat Entrepreneurs and supporting them during
their establishment, sustenance and growth. He was the architect
in the establishment, sustenance and growth of the first Science
& Technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP) in the country and today
it has bagged the National Award, instituted by the Department
of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, as "BEST STEP" in the
country from among fourteen STEPs. He was honored with
"Bharat Nirman Excellence Award" for his meritorious
accomplishment in diverse field of activities that immensely
contributed to the nation's progress. He was honored with
Special Award consisting of a Citation and a Medal by WASME
(World Association of Small & Medium Enterprises), for his
contribution to the establishment/sustenance/growth of SMEs in
the Region and his contribution internationally at China.
Dr. Mohan Chelappa,
Board Member, ThinkGen
Ecosystem
Dr. Mohan Chellappa has a wide international
experience in health care both as a surgeon and manager of clinical
programs, having worked in countries such as India, Malaysia,
Singapore, UK and USA. Dr Chellappa pioneered laparoscopic surgery in
Asia and subsequently provided training in laparoscopic techniques.
Through his training programs, he established a broad network of
contacts with the Medical community in these countries. From 1977, Dr
Chellappa has been involved in the design of the international
clinical programs for Johns Hopkins International and has been the key
architect of the International consultancy programs of Johns Hopkins
Laboratory Management consultancy division. Dr Chellappa is a Fellow
of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, a Fellow of the
American College of Surgeons and also holds a Master of Business
Administration degree.
B.V.Naidu,
Board Member, ThinkGen Ecosystem
Director, Software Technology Parks of
India, Bangalore. Apart from his regular responsibilities, he
takes care of the technical planning countrywide for the STPI.
In 1986, he initiated Education and Research Network Project (ERNET).
Subsequently, he was deputed to Software Technology Parks of
India in 1991. Under his leadership STPI, Bangalore has grow to
become one of India's finest technology parks and biggest.
Mr.Naidu has played a key role in IT infrastructure in Bangalore
in addition to facilitating the Industry as a whole.
Kumar Malavalli,

Mr. Kumar Malavalli is the Vice President of Technology & CTO
and co-founder of Brocade Communications (NASDAQ: BRCD), the
leading provider of storage area networking Infrastructure.
Considered one of the founding forces in Fibre Channel
technology, Malavalli has been a major contributor to the
development of Fibre Channel standards and products over the
last 15 years, and has been instrumental in the evolution of the
storage area networks that support today's leading companies. A
co-founder of Brocade, Malavalli holds several U.S. patents in
Fibre Channel technology. Founder of Brocade Communications Mr.
Malavalli has seed funded many initiatives in the Technology
space, particularly in the Healthcare space.
B.V.Jagadeesh,
Board Member, ThinkGen Ecosystem
Co-founder of Exodus Communications is
responsible for the Technology Direction and assists Business
Development in mergers and acquisitions. He was the original
architect of the Exodus Backbone Network and was in charge of
the Systems Management group. Prior to Exodus, Jagadeesh
co-founded Fouress Inc, a networking technologies consulting
group, and has also worked at Novell on Multi-Protocol Router
and 3Com's NetBuilder family of routers. He served as Chairman
of Networld + Interop's Engineer's conference and is currently
active as an advisor and investor in several networking and
Internet companies. He has a BSEE from Bangalore University and
an MSEE from University of Bombay, India.
RAJA KUMAR, Board Member, ThinkGen Ecosystem Advisory
Board
He has been a Research Fellow at Council of Scientific and
Industrial Research (CSIR), officer of Indian Revenue Services (IRS)
and Regional Director of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)
in a career spanning over 18 years. He brings with him extensive
knowledge of capital markets and wide network and an understanding of
international financial markets and regulatory aspects through short
stints at various financial markets in USA / Europe . He has overseen
the launch of several IPOs, regulated market intermediaries and was an
active member of advisory committees of the capital market regulator (SEBI).
He served as a director on the Boards of professional organizations
like Institute of Company Secretaries of India and as a director of
five Indian stock exchanges. He is a charter member of a global Non
Profit organization, TiE (i.e. The Indus Entrepreneurs) for
advancement of entrepreneurship.
Dr. RENU BHATIA, Board Member, ThinkGen Ecosystem
Dr. Renu Bhatia
is a Cardiologist turned MBA with diversified experience in
Investment Banking and Corporate Finance and finally CEO and
Founder of China MD.com. She has a brilliant academic career
spanning form Harvard University to London University to Yale.
Starting
her career as a Doctor she worked in Middlesex Hospital,
University of London, England in Surgery, she rose to the
position of Senior House Officer , Coronary Care Unit at
Edgeware General Hospital, University of London, England. She
later worked at John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford University,
Oxford, England at their Accident and Trauma unit.
In investment Banking she started her career at
Lombard Odier,
London, England and later joined Goldman Sachs & Co., New York
she later worked in HSBC Asset Management, Hong Kong to rise as
its Global Head Tactical Asset Allocation. She has been the
member of the Board of HSBC Asset Management HK Ltd, HSBC Asset
Management HK (Securities) Ltd, HSBC Investment Funds HK Ltd.,
HSBC Asset Management Bahamas Ltd
and
Non-Executive Director of Cybertank Ltd., and Asia Strategic
Inc. Member of
British Medical
Association, Hong Kong Medical Association and Hong Kong
Securities Institute.
Mrs. Bhatia brings with her in-depth exposure in Healthcare &
Investment Banking in USA, UK and Asia.
